Overview
Edinburgh Airport is the UK’s fastest growing airport, boasting an impressive 14.3 million passengers in 2018.
It is the UK’s fifth busiest airport in terms of passenger numbers, and Scotland’s busiest airport. The city not only draws business passengers for being the UK’s second largest financial hub, but also draws leisure passengers via its reputation for arts and culture with popular events such as the annual Edinburgh Festival. In 2018, Edinburgh Airport has continued their trend of breaking records, by achieving their busiest ever January and February, with 837,542 and 846,502 passengers passing through their doors respectively. Additionally, Edinburgh Airport became the first airport in Scotland to achieve an 'Autism Friendly Award' in recognition of the accessible and supportive environment created for autistic passengers.
