Aberdeen

Overview
Aberdeen is the energy capital of Europe, hosting a wealth of industry events, including Offshore Europe. Passengers flying through Aberdeen Airport are affluent – 40% work in the oil and gas industry and 53% are travelling on business, the highest business profile of any other UK JCDecaux airport. It’s not all about business, though. The area is known as the ‘Gateway to the Highlands’ and regularly welcomes tourists, not least thanks to its world famous golf courses and breathtaking scenery. The airport is currently undergoing its biggest upgrade since it first opened in 1977, with 50% extension of the existing terminal, along with new equipment and facilities including domestic and international baggage reclaim areas.
